Getting to Sussex

Sussex is London's extraordinary neighbour, just an hour away by train. Located on the south east coast of England with great transport links from within the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.

Gatwick Airport is in Sussex and is the region's main international gateway. From Gatwick, regular train services such as Thameslink and Southern Rail, connect directly to towns like Brighton, Eastbourne, and Chichester in under an hour.

By Rail

Sussex is well-served by the UK rail network. Direct trains from London’s Victoria, London Bridge, and St Pancras stations provide fast access to major destinations like Brighton, Chichester  and Hastings. Rail connections also link Sussex along the coast and down to the West County, north west to Wales!

By Road

Sussex is accessible via the M23 and A23, connecting London to Brighton, the A24 in the west and A21 in the east. The A27 runs across the county, easily linking Sussex to Hampshire and beyond. Our scenic routes make road travel a convenient option - but do check out the great bus routes across the county too.
