Golfing in Sussex
Sussex is a haven for golfers, boasting world-class courses in stunning locations. From coastal links to championship-level holes and fun par threes, there’s something for everyone, whatever your handicap.
Teeing things off, we have renowned championship courses like Goodwood, designed in 1914 by James Braid. Sussex also has one of England’s oldest golf clubs – Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club – which dates back to 1888.
East Sussex National Golf Club, located in the heart of the countryside near Uckfield, offers two championship courses – both designed by renowned golf architect Robert E. Cupp, former principal designer for Jack Nicklaus.
For links golf, take your clubs to Seaford Head, which provides stunning views of the Seven Sisters cliffs. And more advanced golfers will want to test themselves against Rye's Camber Sands Links, designed by Harry Colt.
