Sussex climate

Sussex enjoys a mild climate and can be enjoyed every season, whatever the weather. In fact, this is one of England’s sunniest areas, with over 1,750 hours of sunshine annually. In summer, you can expect temperatures around 25°C, making it ideal for beach visits to seaside towns like Eastbourne or Bognor Regis (Britain's sunniest spot!). And in spring, our countryside comes alive with colourful displays of tulips, daffodils, rhododendrons and more. Autumn offers mild, clear days perfect for countryside walks or woodland strolls on a bed of freshly fallen leaves. And winters are generally crisp and bright, ideal for exploring historic towns or discovering nature trails, as well as enjoying our cosy and quaint towns and villages. P.S. Just so you know, there's still plenty to do on rainy days (this is the UK after all!). From galleries and museums to sheltered woodlands and country manors, you’re guaranteed a packed itinerary, come rain or shine.
