If you head into Hastings Old Town, you’ll discover quirky shops, independent galleries and traditional fishing huts, creating a charming seaside atmosphere. On the outskirts of town, Hastings Country Park offers breathtaking cliffside walks, diverse wildlife, and panoramic views across the English Channel.

Of course, we must mention the Battle of Hastings, which took place about 10 km away. Many history buffs like to set up base in Hastings before heading to the battlefield. You can also see the ruins of Hastings Castle perched above the town, which was built by William the Conqueror after vanquishing the Saxons.

Next door to Hastings, you’ll find St Leonards – a hidden gem with elegant Regency architecture and a creative arts scene. This charming town has a well-deserved reputation for its independent galleries, cafés, and peaceful beach – perfect for a culture-filled day by the sea.
