Taking place from 12 – 21 September, this is your chance to explore hidden gems and cultural treasures across Sussex, for free and discover what makes Sussex 'Distinctly Different'.
East Sussex Highlights
Bull House, Lewes
15th Century Bull House was once lived in by Thomas Paine, author of The Rights of Man and a key influence in the American War of Independence.
Anne of Cleves House, Lewes
Discover Tudor life in this beautifully preserved 15th-century timber-framed house, once owned by Henry VIII’s fourth wife.
Alfriston Clergy House
Nestled in the Cuckmere Valley, this was the first building acquired by the National Trust. Explore its medieval charm and archaeological finds.
Coastguard Cottages, Seaford
Perched on the clifftop at Seaford Head, with the famous Seven Sisters as the backdrop, this is one of the most photographed buildings in the country, starring in film and TV.

Nymans, Handcross

Shoreham Fort, Shoreham-by-Sea
Built in the 1850s to defend the Sussex coast, Shoreham Fort will bring the historic monument to life with stories and demonstrations.
Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens, Horsham
