Three Sussex Restaurants Awarded 1 Michelin Star
A Michelin star is the hallmark of exceptional cuisine, and three Sussex restaurants have been awarded 1 Michelin star each:
- Ben Wilkinson at The Pass, Horsham (at South Lodge Hotel) - Exceptional local produce delivered by Ben and his talented team, in a country House setting at the foot of the South Downs.
- Gravetye Manor, East Grinstead - Set within a striking contemporary dining room enjoying views over 35 acres of gardens, dishes celebrate seasonal flavours and produce sourced from the kitchen garden.
- Interlude, Lower Beeding - Creative tasting menus showcasing the best local Sussex ingredients, set within the 240 acre Leonardslee House and Gardens.
Sustainability in the Spotlight: Green Stars in Sussex
The Michelin Green Star, introduced in 2021, celebrates restaurants leading the way in sustainable practices. Sussex is proud to have two sustainable eateries included in the list of 36 Green stars across the UK:
- Interlude, Lower Beeding – A second accolade for this forward-thinking restaurant, which champions hyper-local Sussex ingredients.
- Tillingham, Peasmarsh – A Sussex winery and restaurant embracing regenerative agriculture and minimal intervention winemaking.
Bib Gourmand Winners: Quality and Value
For those looking for top-tier cooking at great value, Sussex has two restaurants making the list for the Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2025:
