Find a Grant - New Portal Service
There is a new Find a Grant portal on the .Gov website for individuals and organisations to find and apply for general government grants. You can use keywords and filters to search for grant opportunities to suit your needs. Helpfully you can also subscribe for notifications and apply through the service.

Newhaven Business Grants Programme
The Newhaven Business Grants Programme is now open, offering grants to SME businesses in the Newhaven Town Deal area. Businesses can apply for grants of 50% of the cost of capital projects up to £15,000. This could include new equipment, machinery, commercial vehicles and property adaptations.

Rother & Wealden Rural Business Grants – Round 2
From January 2024 to March 2025, the programme awarded over £871,000 in grants to 50 local businesses, helping to unlock more than £1.5 million in total investment, and create 55 new jobs across Rother and Wealden council areas in East Sussex.
The second round will continue to offer grants of up to £35,000 for micro, small, and medium-sized businesses in the delivery area. Funding can support a wide range of projects, including the purchase of new equipment or machinery, premises expansion or adaptation, diversification of farm businesses, and the development of new products or services.

The Rural England Prosperity Fund – Horsham District Council
The Government has announced a top-up to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, the Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF). Horsham District has been allocated £261,477, which can be spent throughout 2025/26.
The Rural Fund recognises the specific challenges facing our rural areas, including:

Poorer access to key services
There are two investment priorities for the fund:

The Rural Fund provides capital funding to:

Small scale investments in micro and small enterprises, and community projects in rural areas

Farm business diversification (outside of agriculture diversification)
REPF cannot be used to fund farm machinery or to diversify within agriculture.

South Downs National Park: Health & Wellbeing Travel Grants
Organisations or community groups can apply for a grant of up to £250 (to cover transport costs ) into specific sites in South Downs National Park. This comes in a move to increase time spent in outdoor spaces, benefitting mental health and wellbeing. Organisations are eligible for one grant per year.

Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) – Heritage Revival Fund. - closes September 2025
The Department for Culture, Media and Sport’s Heritage Revival Fund helps communities across England rescue and repurpose neglected historic buildings.
The programme will focus on regenerating historic buildings in town centres by supporting community organisations to take ownership of, adapt and reuse local heritage assets that matter to them, transforming them into thriving, fit for purpose spaces. There are three grants available one for Project Viability (£15,000max), the second for Project Development (£100,000 max) and a third for Capital Works (£150,000 max). Conditions apply.
Further information and guidance specific to Heritage Revival Fund Capital Grants will be issued 12 May 2025. Please wait until this guidance is issued before contacting us about these grants or submitting an EOI. The deadline for expressions of interest will be 27 June 2025. The deadline for Capital Grant applications will be 29 September 2025, for a decision in December 2025.

Health and Wellbeing in Museums Fund
The Health and Wellbeing in Museums Fund has opened to support the development and continuation of ground-breaking health and wellbeing programmes in museums across the UK during financial crisis and increasing demand. Museums can apply for £50,000 - £75,000. The Fund aims to enable museums to build on existing, leading health and wellbeing work that will leave a legacy. Applicants should have a proven track record of their work; a strategic commitment to health and wellbeing; and a clear idea of how their work can be developed. The first round of funding will open between 28th April and 26th June 2025.

Boiler Upgrade Scheme - closing date 31 December 2027
An energy saving opportunity for businesses with small buildings to switch their heating systems to a greener solution. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme supports the decarbonisation of homes and small non-domestic buildings in England and Wales. The scheme provides upfront capital grants of up to £7,500 to encourage property owners to replace existing fossil fuel heating with more efficient, low carbon heating systems including heat pumps and biomass boilers. You can get from £5,000 to £7,500. Closing date 31 December 2027.
