Find a Grant - New Portal Service

There is a new Find a Grant portal on the .Gov website for individuals and organisations to find and apply for general government grants. You can use keywords and filters to search for grant opportunities to suit your needs. Helpfully you can also subscribe for notifications and apply through the service.

Boiler Upgrade Scheme - closing date 31 December 2027

An energy saving opportunity for businesses with small buildings to switch their heating systems to a greener solution. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme supports the decarbonisation of homes and small non-domestic buildings in England and Wales. The scheme provides upfront capital grants of up to £7,500 to encourage property owners to replace existing fossil fuel heating with more efficient, low carbon heating systems including heat pumps and biomass boilers. You can get from £5,000 to £7,500. Closing date 31 December 2027.

Small Business Britain, in partnership with BT, is proud to launch the Green Growth Awards and Green Growth 100, a celebration of 100 inspiring UK small businesses that are successfully using sustainability to drive business growth. From cutting waste and saving energy, to rethinking supply chains and attracting new customers, these businesses are showing that sustainability isn’t just good for the planet, it’s good for business too!

The Green Growth 100 will champion these entrepreneurs, share their stories, and inspire more small businesses to take action on sustainability while driving profitability. Successful businesses will be invited to an awards event in March 2026, hosted by BT, where two standout firms will each receive a Green Growth Award - a £5,000 grant to help them scale their sustainability goals. 

Additional runner-up non-cash prizes will also be awarded on the day.

Newhaven Business Grants Programme

The Newhaven Business Grants Programme is now open, offering grants to SME businesses in the Newhaven Town Deal area. Businesses can apply for grants of 50% of the cost of capital projects up to £15,000. This could include new equipment, machinery, commercial vehicles and property adaptations.  
 

South Downs National Park: Health & Wellbeing Travel Grants

Organisations or community groups can apply for a grant of up to £250 (to cover transport costs ) into specific sites in South Downs National Park. This comes in a move to increase time spent in outdoor spaces, benefitting mental health and wellbeing. Organisations are eligible for one grant per year.
